Just minutes from La Valencia, The Wedding Bowl sits directly above the Pacific and creates an incredible setting for an intimate outdoor ceremony. There’s something beautifully simple about exchanging vows surrounded by your closest family and friends with the ocean, cliffs, and open sky as the backdrop.

We especially love pairing a Wedding Bowl ceremony with a celebration at La Valencia. The two locations give you completely different environments while still feeling like one cohesive wedding day: the natural, coastal beauty of La Jolla for the ceremony, followed by the romantic Mediterranean character of La Valencia for portraits, cocktails, dinner, and the rest of the celebration.

From a photography perspective, it also gives us so much variety. We can document the ceremony with the Pacific behind you, spend a little time along the coastline afterward, and then transition into the more editorial architecture, warm tones, and intimate atmosphere of La Valencia.
