Junebug Weddings just published Eryn and Vance’s North Shore elopement and called it the most cinematic Hawaii elopement they have ever featured. Coming from one of the most respected editorial blogs in the wedding industry, that means a lot to us, and this day earned it.
A Hawaii Elopement Built Around Each Other
Eryn and Vance chose to elope for a simple reason: they wanted the day to be about the two of them. No guest list, no packed timeline, no traditional first look. Just the two of them on Oahu’s North Shore, with the coastline, the shifting weather, and enough quiet to let the day breathe.
Their styling leaned on Regency and Victorian inspiration without tipping into costume. Eryn wore a lace-trimmed gown with voluminous sleeves, a veil, and gloves. Vance kept it relaxed in a soft suit, and paper parasols nodded to the period romance they both love. Against Hawaii’s muted greens and dramatic skies, the whole look read timeless rather than themed.
The Rain Made It Better
Most couples spend months hoping the weather holds. When rain moved across the North Shore during the ceremony, it did not ruin the day.
