Featured in Vanity Fair: Geordyn & Sam's Rancho Santa Fe Wedding
as seen in Vanity Fair
Rancho Santa Fe, California
Finding out that my work would be featured in Vanity Fair’s summer campaign is a moment I will not forget. When the opportunity came through, I knew right away which wedding I wanted to submit.
Out of every celebration I have photographed, Geordyn and Sam’s wedding day kept coming back to mind. It was a beautiful event, and it also carried a feeling I have been chasing since I started photographing weddings in San Diego. Days like theirs are the reason I do this work.
Why We Chose This Rancho Santa Fe Wedding
Set against the rolling hills and golden light of Rancho Santa Fe, their wedding had everything I love to capture: timeless elegance, understated romance, and two people who clearly adore each other.

From the first look to the last dance, the day unfolded like a film. The design choices were classic rather than trendy. Soft neutral tones, abundant greenery, and candlelight flickering against the California dusk. Nothing felt forced or overdone. Elevated, yes, but rooted in real emotion, which is exactly the kind of storytelling I want behind the lens.
A Love Story Worth Telling
Geordyn and Sam’s connection was the heartbeat of the whole day. You could see it in the quiet glances during the ceremony, the laughter during golden hour portraits, and the way their families surrounded them with joy. As a documentary wedding photographer, those are the moments I chase. Not just a beautiful backdrop, but the unscripted love that makes a wedding memorable.

That mix of timeless design and real emotion made this the wedding I wanted to represent my work on a platform like Vanity Fair.
What This Feature Means for Cinematica
Being featured in Vanity Fair’s summer campaign is a milestone I am grateful for. It is a reminder of why I photograph weddings: to capture love stories that are as elegant and enduring as the places they happen in, and to share them with people who value that same artistry.
Thank you to Geordyn and Sam for trusting me with your wedding day, and for creating something beautiful enough to share far beyond the two of you.
